It was opened in 2026 by Scott Rapson and Laurie Sealeaf, who spent three years visiting listening bars in Athens, Paris, Berlin and Lisbon before starting it. It serves cocktails, natural wines, organic beers and coffee, and is built around a high-fidelity sound system using Danley speakers, with a vinyl collection on the walls and playlists running through hip hop, soul, jazz, funk, deep house and disco. Rapson, who has been DJing for 36 years, describes the model as the Japanese jazz kissa, and the name as a joke about how often he swears.
