About
Hamish Irvine is a wedding photographer based in Chapel Allerton, Leeds. He photographed his first wedding at 16, after repeatedly approaching established photographers for work, and later graduated with first-class honours in photography from Leeds Arts University. His site sums up the style as fun, colourful, modern, natural and authentic; he has said what he looks for is "personality and emotion", and that he tries to connect with people "so that they will fully open up with me". He works with analogue film as well as digital.
In November 2025 he was named Yorkshire and North East England Wedding Photographer of the Year at The Wedding Industry Awards, taking the regional category ahead of 22 other entrants. At the national final in Liverpool in January 2026 he was Highly Commended, placing in the top two in the UK.
